Elton Britt parlayed his Jimmie Rodgers imitation — using a yodeling capability and range that surpassed Rodgers’ — into country’s biggest strike of the Globe War II period, “There is a Superstar Spangled Banner Waving Someplace,” which sold four million copies in the first ’40s. He was created Adam Britt Baker in Zack, AR, on June 27, 1913, and started playing electric guitar and performing around his hometown whilst in his mid-teens.
