Elmon Wright

Born right into a music family members — his dad Lammar Wright Sr. and sibling Lammar Wright Jr. had been respected big music group trumpeters — Elmon Wright was also a musician, performing trumpet with such bandleaders as Dizzy Gillespie, Earl Bostic, Friend Affluent, Earle Warren, and Roy Eldridge within the ’40s and ’50s. Later on he worked well freelance in NEW YORK, and supported R&B acts in the Apollo Theatre. He documented in 1963 with vibist Milt Jackson.
