Raised in the town of Selkirk, Manitoba, Ellen Reid examined classical piano for 11 years while at the Royal Conservatory of Music, in addition to in senior high school. Also developing a gentle place for the saxophone, Reid fulfilled up with various other music artists, including Brad Roberts, to create what would become Crash Check Dummies in 1986. Having attained great success using the group in product sales and reputation, the singer seldom had the chance showing her vocal skills. The only real exceptions had been her business lead vocals on XTC’s melody “The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead,” that was among the band’s larger strikes. In 1999, Crash Test Dummies had taken a protracted hiatus, and Reid continuing focusing on a single work. In 2000, she came back to the studio room and released her debut single record, Cinderellen, on Mr. Friendly Productions. She proceeds to execute across Canada with various sector showcases.
