Jam music group Ella Quickness was formed in Statesboro, GA by vocalist/guitarist Kent Dowling, guitarist John Calhoun, bassist Tim Cloud and drummer Ken Durden; when Calhoun afterwards left to wait grad college, he was changed by guitarist Brad Edgy, who also became the group’s business lead vocalist. Ella Speed’s debut record Redemption implemented in 1999; that same calendar year, Durden still left the group, and was changed by drummer Tim “Display” Carter. A couple of months afterwards, Dowling announced his leave as well.
