Elise Einarsdottir

Known primarily in Scandinavian jazz circles, Elise Einarsdottir is a melodic pianist who’s as comfy playing standards as she actually is writing memorable tracks of her very own. Born and elevated in Sweden, Einarsdottir paid attention to jazz thoroughly developing up and was inspired by such American pianists as Costs Evans and Dave Brubeck, although she actually is also with the capacity of even more avant-garde experimentation. When she was 18, Einarsdottir relocated to the U.S. in 1973, where she spent a while in NY and studied structure and organizing at Boston’s exclusive Berklee University of Music. Einarsdottir came back to Sweden after four years in the U.S., and used various Swedish performers before developing her personal group, the Elise Einarsdottir Outfit, in 1984. Among the members of this group is usually Einarsdottir’s spouse Olle Steinholtz, a bassist that has used such American people to Sweden as Woody Shaw, Thad Jones and Charlie Mariano. Einarsdottir documented five albums with her group (including Senses on Caprice) before developing a piano/bass duo with Steinholtz in early 1998 for Sketches of Roses on Touche Music.
