Elias Belmiro

Elias Belmiro, virtuoso violonista (acoustic guitarist), continues to be dedicating his profession towards the choro custom also to the violão functions by Heitor Villa-Lobos. His initial solo record, released in 1996 and focused on Villa-Lobos, got two of its paths contained in a compilation released by Time-Life publication that also experienced functions by Julian Bream and John Williams. Given birth to to a family group of music artists, his dad was a trombonist from the Armed service Police Music group of Vitória, Espírito Santo, Belmiro’s house town. Also a chorão (choro musician), Belmiro’s dad performed the violão aswell and trained him the device, initiating him in the choro custom. At 18, Belmiro required the electrical bass and rock and roll, shifting to Rio de Janeiro and performing balls and night clubs. Six years later on, reconciled along with his personal background, he came back to Vitória also to the traditional violão, acquiring at 26 Turíbio Santos as his instructor. Since that time, he has documented, along with Elias Belmiro, Influências (2000), that one focused on choro featuring many originals.
