Biography

Los Angeles-based ambient techno mystics Electric powered Skychurch comprised composer and maker Wayne Lumb, vocalist Roxanne Morganstern and percussionist Alex Spurkel. Shaped in 1993, the trio started attracting see through their shows for the L.A. underground dance picture, often showing up at the entire Moon Gathering raves. The very first Electric Skychurch solitary, “Creation,” made an appearance in early 1994, adopted a year later on from the LP Knowoneness, an archive notable because of its usage of live tools — strings, didgeridoos, pianos, bongos — in tandem with classic analog synths. The atmospheric Collectively EP adopted in 1996.
