The band that spawned Goldfinger’s John Feldmann (guitars, vocals) and Kelly LeMieux (bass) and Orgy drummer Bobby Hewitt (who was simply then Bobby Fernandez) met up being a cover band in NORTH PARK. Also offering guitarists Donni Campion (who also continued to try out with Goldfinger) and Dave Kushner, the music group named itself Electric powered Love Hogs within a satirical swipe on the L.A. glam rock and roll scene from the past due ’80s. Mixing funk and steel, the band started creating originals and agreed upon with London Information, releasing just one single record in 1992. Tag Dodson did a lot of the creating, but two tracks — made by Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee — drew particular curiosity. The Like Hogs toured with L.A. Weapons within the U.S. and Ugly Child Joe within the U.K.
