Electric Beethoven

Putting a brand new and ambitious spin in the classical repertoire, Electric Beethoven is certainly an organization that combines the music of Ludwig van Beethoven with rock and roll, jazz, funk, electronic, and improvisational affects. Electric powered Beethoven was produced by bassist Reed Mathis, known for his use Tea Leaf Green, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, and several Grateful Dead-related tasks, including Billy & the youngsters (with Costs Kreutzmann) as well as the Tempo Devils (with Mickey Hart). Having performed Vivaldi’s Mandolin Concerto in D with an ensemble offering members from the Tulsa Philharmonic when he was simply 15, Mathis is definitely passionate about traditional music, and Electric powered Beethoven began being a project to create his rock and roll and classical affects jointly. For the group’s initial record, 2016’s Beathoven, Mathis collaborated with over twelve music artists, each in sets of three, because they performed brand-new agreements of Beethoven’s Third and 6th Symphonies.
