Having a flamboyant frontman along with a love of ’70s disco and glam rock and roll, the five-piece El Pres!dente have undoubtedly been called Scotland’s response to the Scissor Sisters. Hailing from Glasgow, the music group may be the brainchild of previous Weapon member Dante Gizzi, who developed the name while on tour in France. After Weapon split, he started writing tunes and, by using brother Jools, documented material on a little sampler, the outcomes of which had been aired on regional train station Radio Clyde.
