El Matador

French rapper Un Matador was among Marseilles’ best-known MCs in the 2000s. After an initial hit one, “Génération Wesh Wesh,” extracted from the soundtrack to Taxi cab 4, he obtained even more substantial media publicity in 2007 using the video to get a Armes Egales, that was illustrated with pictures from the film 300, whose France soundtrack he lent a monitor to. His 2007 LP, Parti de Rien, highlighted both strike singles, rendering it among 2007’s most effective French rap albums.
