A side project for jazzy singer/songwriter Norah Jones, the indie rock-leaning trio Un Madmo feature Jones on guitar and vocals alongside bassist/vocalist Daru Oda and drummer Andrew Borger of Jones’ backing group the Attractive Band. Theatrical and frequently funny (garishly glam make-up, wigs, and outfits are de rigueur), each person in El Madmo in addition has used a stage name, with Oda as Un, Jones as Maddie, and Borger as Mo — therefore the music group name. Un Madmo released their self-titled debut record on Team Appreciate in 2008.
