Panamanian Un General (created Edgardo A. Franco) began singing and composing tracks at age 12 in his indigenous Rio Abajo. After obtaining a scholarship or grant, the young designer shifted to the U.S. to review business administration, quickly learning to be a professional accountant. However, he noticed that music was his genuine passion and made a decision to start a performing career. Un General’s 1st record was known as “Tu Pum Pum”; he immediately after released his debut recording, Estas Buena, which presented the hit solitary “Te Ves Buena.” 1991’s Muevelo Con un General allowed him to start out touring Latin America. In 1992, his catchy “Muevelo,” an assortment of Latin rap and Jamaican reggae, accomplished an MTV award for Greatest Latin Video. Un Poder Del General, released in 1993, presented a new strike for Edgardo Franco, a merengue known as “Caramelo.”
