Eiko Ishibashi

Eiko Ishibashi is a Japan session musician, manufacturer, and vocalist/songwriter. As her albums demonstrate, she actually is equally comfy composing and executing from quirky pop, contemporary traditional music, and prog towards the extremes of improvisational jazz and sound. She’s performed and toured with Jim O’Rourke, Keiji Haino, Akira Sakata, Charlemagne Palestine, Oren Ambarchi, Glenn Kotche, and Merzbow, to mention several. She received formal musical trained in years as a child through the senior high school in her hometown of Monbara in Chiba Prefecture. Her initial “single” documenting was Slip Under the Distant Tree in 2007, a double-length ‎duo providing with Ruins bassist Tatsuya Yoshida.
