Eidolon

Biography

Among Canada’s premiere power steel rings, Toronto’s Eidolon focuses on brothers Glen (electric guitar) and Shawn Drover (drums), who have launched the group simultaneously making use of their own studio room (also dubbed Eidolon) in 1993. Vocalist Brian Soulard and bassist Criss Bailey ultimately joined their rates, because the siblings progressed from their early tests with instrumental rock into a even more fleshed-out, power/traditions metal path. This led to a set of indie albums (1996’s No Hour and 1998’s conceptual Seven Spirits), whose guarantee resulted in a cope with Los Angeles’ Steel Blade Information. This relationship, subsequently, created four well-regarded LPs in 2000’s Problem Globe, 2001’s Hallowed Apparition, 2002’s Coma Country, and 2003’s Apostles of Defiance (most of them offering bassist Adrian Robichaud as well as the last two vocalist Pat Mulock), which might have got fared better otherwise for Eidolon’s reluctance to tour. This, among various other reasons, resulted in their departure from Steel Cutter in 2004, but a fresh offer was quickly struck with Sweden’s Escapi Information.
