Country rockers Advantage Town features the lineup of vocalist/songwriter Jim Patton and vocalist Sherry Brokus. The duo initial began playing jointly in Baltimore, MD, but using a sound that’s unashamedly located in Southern root base rock, Edge Town ultimately relocated to Austin, TX. In 2001, their debut record, Mystery Ride, premiered over the Orchard label and highlighted John Mellencamp guitarist David Grissom, amongst others. Musically, the music group augmented the music with such anticipated root base rock equipment as fiddles, mandolins, and Dobros, as well as for the song’s lyrics, Patton utilized personal references from such 20th hundred years American fiction symbols as F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway, aswell as personal encounters from back in Baltimore.
