Eddy Mitchell

A celebrity of some importance in France, Eddy Mitchell began his career in the past due ’50 using the rock and roll & move group Les Chaussettes Noires (the Dark Socks). Mitchell proceeded to go solo after several hits using the group in the first ’60, and on the ensuing years embraced several varieties of American music. Mitchell looked into spirit in the ’60s and country-rock in the ’70s before growing into an all-encompassing big-band entertainer in the ’80s, which allowed him to revisit his old materials while still branching out additional for fresh recordings. In the ’80s Mitchell became similarly popular as an acting professional and radio character, but were able to stability these new efforts with his performing career and continuing to record in to the 2000s.
