Biography
Jazz composer and pianist Eddie Finckel gravitated to jazz when he was a boy, we were young in Washington, D.C. Finckel found the piano by hearing solos by Teddy Wilson and Artwork Tatum. The youthful pianist began composing young and, with the 1940s, kept a posture as personnel arranger for the rings of Boyd Raeburn, Les Dark brown, and Gene Krupa. Dealing with drummer Pal Rich, Finckel discovered himself behind such music as “Keep Us Step,” “Gypsy Disposition,” and “Starburst.” Beginning in the 1950s, Finckel changed his interest towards music education, getting the musical movie director of the art-based private college in Short Hillsides, NJ. He kept the positioning for 40 years, until his transferring on, may 12, 2001, at age 83.
