Ed Schaffer

b. USA, d. USA. An obscure blues guitarist who occasionally also proved helpful as an archive producer, Schaffer’s roots are unknown. Through the 30s, he sometimes proved helpful in duo with guitarist Oscar Woods, as the Shreveport House Wreckers, making several recordings for Victor Information in the beginning of the 10 years. IN-MAY 1931, Schaffer documented nation singer-turned-politician Jimmie Davis who was simply followed by Ed ‘Snoozer’ Quinn. The next year Davis produced more recordings this time around accompanied from the Shreveport House Wreckers. In 1932 Schaffer and Woods released two edges for Victor beneath the name of Eddie And Oscar.
