A previous member and supervisor from the Fall, Ed Blaney is really a good friend and occasional collaborator using the music group’s leader, Tag E. Smith. After becoming a member of and touring using the group in 2000, Blaney made an appearance on its 2001 work ARE YOU CURRENTLY Are Missing Champion. In 2008 he became a member of Smith for the recording Smith and Blaney, which presented cover variations of Anxious Norvus’ “Transfusion” as well as the Velvet Underground’s “Actual Good Time Collectively.” A 12 months later, The Teach Component Three arrived. The recording was a total departure, offering audio vérité and field recordings the duo re-edited within the studio.
