Echoes

The Echoes were a white doo-wop group from Brooklyn, NY, USA, that logged one Top 20 hit, ‘Baby Blue’, in 1961. The group contains Harry Boyle (b. 1943, Brooklyn, NY, USA), Thomas Duffy (b. 1944, Brooklyn, NY, USA), and Tom Morrissey (b. 1943, Brooklyn, NY, USA). Originally known as the Laurels, the group was presented with ‘Baby Blue’, compiled by instructors Sam Guilino and Val Lagueux, by an associate of another group who got didn’t record it. The Laurels transformed their name towards the Echoes and financed their very own demo recording from the tune, and Jack Yellow metal, owner of Paris Information, decided to discharge it on another label he was beginning, SRG Information. The record was found by another label, Seg-Way, and it proceeded to go up to amount 12.
