Easy Big Fella

The ska-revival music group Easy Big Fella was formed in later 1991 after vocalist/guitarist Rick Dybvad and bassist Steve Mandl placed an ad in the Seattle music weekly The Rocket; among those responding had been trombonist Colin Shroy, keyboardist Aaron Simms, drummer Rodrigo Cerqueira and trumpeter Liam Barksdale. With the next addition of saxophonist Jason Nelson, Easy Big Fella became among the best bands over the Seattle circuit, starting for renowned serves like the Skatalites, the Special deals, Desmond Dekker as well as the Toasters; in 1994. in addition they released their debut LP, Easy Hearing. Despite some lineup adjustments which eventually still left just Dybvad, Barksdale and Nelson off their first incarnations, Easy Big Fella forged on, and with the enhancements of organist Mike Birenbaum, trombonist Eric Ellsworth, bassist Dave Sommer and drummer Bret Coffin, they released their second record Buttercup in 1995. Eat at Joey’s implemented in 1997, and 2 yrs afterwards the group resurfaced with Tasty Parts and Spicy Flicks.
