Eastern Rebellion

Biography

First shaped in 1974 and ongoing with an irregular basis since, Eastern Rebellion is really a cooperative group with pianist Cedar Walton the very first among equals. The band’s unique lineup was Walton, bassist Sam Jones, drummer Billy Higgins, and tenor saxophonist Clifford Jordan. By 1975 and their first formal saving, George Coleman was on tenor. In potential years, trombonist Curtis Fuller would occasionally make the music group a quintet, David Williams became the bassist, and Bob Berg (been successful within the 1990s by Ralph Moore) overran the tenor place; trumpeter Alfredo “Chocolates” Armenteros sat in on the 1983 documenting. Eastern Rebellion offers documented for Timeless and (in 1990) Music Experts. Their debut documenting from 1975 can be definitive and gets the classic edition of Walton’s “Bolivia.”
