East of the Wall

The self-described “situational art metal band,” East from the Wall structure hail from the city of Gunnison Seaside, NJ, where in fact the group’s members were active in various bands just like the Postman Syndrome, Day Without Dawn, and Biclops before pooling their talents collectively. From 2005, bassist Brett Bamberger, drummer Mike Somers, and guitarist Jeff Speidell started working on materials that became a self-released eponymous EP the next year; they welcomed guitarist Matt Lupo to their midst ahead of documenting 2007’s Farmer’s Almanac recording for Neglected Empire Information. Guitarist Kevin Conway changed Speidell immediately after and drummer Seth Rheam got over for Somers in ’09 2009, of which period third guitarist Chris Alfano was also added, as well as the group adopted a split launch with Rosetta and Yr of No Light by documenting its second full-length, Ressentiment, for fresh label Translation Reduction.
