Having a blistering yet playful sonic attack to competitor fellow indie rock and roll reconstructionists Go! Group, EAR PWR stability melody and experimentation, twee and tobacco, all using the spirit of the 1980s acid home smiley encounter. The music flies fast and furious in continuous matches of ecstasy with vocalist Sarah Reynolds injecting light and sugary mantras of goofy intelligence about manatees and preferred sweaters. Ear canal PWR produced in the middle-2000s in Winston-Salem, NEW YORK when Reynolds started a romantic relationship (both musical and intimate) with regional musician Devin Booze. The duo gained a quick pursuing for the frenetic live display that highlighted Reynolds performing in delirium as Booze tossed himself about the stage and in to the audience. After several 7″s on the Chapel Hill indie, the set left NEW YORK for Baltimore, where they agreed upon with Carpark Information and released the bubbly Super Pet Brothers II in ’09 2009. As the record met with blended reviews, the hype was substantial as well as the fan base continuing to develop as Ear canal PWR prepared because of their second outing, Ear canal PWR, that was released in 2011.
