NY City’s small known E-X-E produced two melodic swiftness steel albums (early power steel, in the event that you will) for self-employed label Shatter Information, and suffered the iniquities of experiencing no promotional muscle mass to aid them. Initial up, 1987’s Stricken by Might was made by Rods drummer Carl Canedy (also maker for famous brands Anthrax, Overkill, Exciter, etc.), included the minor traditional “Autopsy,” and presented vocalist Joseph Palma, guitarists Rui Tavora and Adam Marigliano, bassist R.H. Boeckel, and drummer Charles Lopez. This same lineup aside from Palma, who’d been changed from the higher-pitched Tommy Lee Haley, came back three years later on for the sophomore Sicker Than I BELIEVE, which displayed even more quickly tempos, but offered much less copies, and precipitated the band’s mainly unheralded demise.
