Dynamites

The Jamaican house band for producer Clancy Eccles through the early reggae many years of the later 60s and early 70s, the Dynamites backed numerous Clan Disk artists, such as for example Eccles himself, Cynthia Richards and pioneer DJ Ruler Stitt. Their line-up fluctuated, though its nucleus was Winston Wright (body organ, piano), Hux Dark brown (electric guitar), Jackie Jackson (bass), Gladstone Anderson (piano) and Paul Douglas (drums). This combo, with added saxophones, documented Fire Part in 1969, a distinctive group of moody reggae instrumentals that also included Ruler Stitt over the title monitor and ‘Vigorton 2’.
