DVC

Formed in america in 1980, DVC comprised Bob Forest (guitar, vocals), John Bartle (guitar, vocals), Maximum Padilla (bass) and John Bollin (drums). Their enthusiastic make of hard rock and roll encompassed superb dual acoustic guitar interplay and harmonies from Forest and Bartle, but even more attention centered on the actual fact that John Bollin was the sibling of the past due Tommy Bolin. The group’s 1981 self-titled debut for Alfa Information thus attracted considerable press protection (not really least because of the presence of the cover edition of Bolin’s ‘Teaser’), but after the novelty experienced worn off rock and roll journalists looked somewhere else. In retrospect, this is a travesty taking into consideration the strength from the group’s personal compositions.
