Dustin Kensrue


Since 1998, Dustin Kensrue continues to be most common as the business lead singer, lyricist, and guitarist for the well-regarded Irvine, California post-hardcore quartet Thrice. After launching three albums using the group in 2001 (Identification Turmoil), 2002 (The Illusion of Basic safety), and 2003 (The Musician within the Ambulance), Kensrue started more seriously focusing on single acoustic materials around 2004. Originally composing under the task name Ursus Veritas, Kensrue ultimately fell the moniker, selecting to operate under his very own name instead. Monitors first appeared on the web via MySpace in springtime 2005, and Kensrue ultimately took time from focus on Thrice’s 4th studio work, Vheissu, to finish the documenting of his single debut with co-producer and Thrice bandmate Teppei Teranishi.
