Dustaphonics

Led by People from france guitarist and DJ Yvan Serrano (aka DJ Healer Selecta) — and portion of his Raison d’Etre strap collective — rock and roll & move and rhythm & blues revivalists the Dustaphonics had been created in 2008. The lineup was finished by powerhouse vocalist Hayley Crimson, Dan Whaley on bass, and either Eric Frajiria or (ex-Milkshake/Headcoat) Bruce Brand on drums. The Dustaphonics’ 1st solitary, “Burlesque Queen,” was released this year 2010 on vintage London label Dirty Drinking water (“acquiring music backwards into tomorrow”). The sleazy R&B grinder was co-written by Tura Satana, celebrity of Russ Meyer’s 1965 cult flick Faster Pussycat! Destroy! Kill!, and offered like a precursor of what things to expect using their debut recording released the next year. Party Woman (2011) fizzed with an exuberant mixture of R&B, rock and roll & move, rockabilly, spirit, surf, and garage area, capturing the power and verve of their revue-style concert events. The LP included a cover of MC5’s “Taking a look at You,” and Bo Diddley presented within the intro from the shutting track, “Consider It from Diddley.” Diddley had not been the just name to enthuse within the music group. The Dustaphonics also discovered favor using the queen of rockabilly, Wanda Jackson, and spirit superstar Spanky Wilson. Sophomore record Big Smoke cigarettes London City (2014) continuing the theme with ten self-penned monitors of lively classic sounds, and also a cover of Louisiana Red’s “Trip on Louisiana Crimson.”
