Dunga

Dunga was an novice composer who have wrote several classics from the golden age group of Brazilian music and was recorded by many celebrities of the time. In 1932 he earned a Carnival competition promoted from the newspapers Jornal perform Brasil (Rio) using the march “Nossa Bandeira.” His 1st documented structure was “Amar, Pra Que,” performed by Sílvio Pinto in 1934. “Chora Cavaquinho,” created in 1935, was documented by Orlando Silva in 1936. In 1937 Dunga had written “Sinto Uma Vontade de Chorar,” also popular in Silva’s tone of voice. In 1938, he had written “Foi Você” and “Hoje Não, só na Quinta-Feira” (with Haroldo Lobo), documented by Arnaldo Amaral. Within the next yr he had written “Levanta, José” (documented by Emilinha). In 1940, Dunga had written “Sereia” (with Nássara); in 1941, he had written “Dizem por Aí,” documented by Araci de Almeida. In 1942 arrived “Odete,” documented by Francisco Alves, and “Morro,” performed by Trio de Ouro. In 1943, Dunga had written “Quando Alguém Me Perunta,” documented by Castro Barbosa, in 1944 he composed “Quem é Você,” sung by Ataulfo Alves, and in 1945 “Você é Que Pensa,” performed by Alcides Gerardi. Dunga also composed the choro “Modéstia ? Parte,” documented by Radamés Gnattali, “As Cadeiras me Doem,” documented by Linda Batista, “Casinha de Bambuê,” documented by Dircinha Batista, and “Conceição” (with Jair Amorim), Caubi Peixoto’s biggest strike, which was documented by Dircinha Batista among others. “Bilhete” was documented by Elza Soares and “Maria Dos Meus Pecados” by Agostinho dos Santos.
