Argentinean Latin rock-band Dukakis was shaped by regional musician Sebastián Belardinelli an ex-Los Rodríguez drummer Germán Vilella. Playing an assortment of rock and roll, reggae, funk, and various Latin rhythms, the group individually released a six-track EP known as Demo 1999.
