Duduka Da Fonseca

Drummer and percussionist Duduka Da Fonseca was created in Rio de Janeiro. He continues to be playing drums since he was 12 and by age 15 was carrying out with a few of the most experienced music artists in Brazil. In 1975, Da Fonseca relocated to NY where his profession flourished using such ensembles as Brazilian Express, NY Samba Band, as well as the Brazilian All Celebrities. On the way, Da Fonseca was a faculty member in the Drummers Collective in NY and has executed workshops in Japan and European countries. He’s also the writer from the instructional reserve and tape established Brazilian Rhythms for Drumset. Throughout his profession, Da Fonseca provides performed and documented with Antonio Carlos Jobim, Herbie Mann, John Scofield, Gerry Mulligan, Joe Henderson, and many more. In 1992, he co-founded Trio da Paz with guitarist Romero Lubambo and bassist Nilson Matta. They will have several releases on the Malandro label.
