Duck Donald

b. Duckworth Bruce Andrew Donald, 18 August 1951, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, d. 22 Apr 1984, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. A talented musician who trained himself to try out acoustic guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, harmonica and Jew’s Harp but to never go through music. He also published tunes and poetry and discovered himself drawn to bluegrass music, which he experienced added something to the standard country music which he was raised. In the beginning his music was a spare time activity and a launch from his daily work inside a warehouse until he was asked to join the neighborhood Bobby Cusson trio, which performed for local features. In this function he fulfilled banjo participant Cathy Fink with whom he shaped a duo that specialised in bluegrass and outdated timey music. Between 1974, through 1979, they toured Canada and amassed a repertoire of around 600 outdated timey duets. In 1975, they produced their first recordings for an record for Likeable Information, which proved reasonably effective and led these to record for Traveling Fish Information. A kids’s record on Likeable implemented. Between 1981 and 1983, they toured using their very own band, including Darcy Deville (electric guitar/fiddle) and Dave Harvey (string bass). Afterwards Donald played for a while with Darcy, until he abruptly passed away from a human brain haemorrhage in 1984.
