Dub Thompson

Originally from Agoura Hillsides, California, the wide-ranging indie rock duo Dub Thompson incorporates components of post-punk, Krautrock, psych pop, and dub into its music. The music group comprises guitarist Matt Pulos and drummer Evan Laffer, who fulfilled in middle college and eventually started playing music jointly while in senior high school. Acquiring motivation from such luminaries as Can, Kraftwerk, the Fall, This High temperature, and Pere Ubu, the set centered on jamming instead of recording during the majority of senior high school; by enough time they agreed upon with Deceased Oceans, these were still within their later teenagers. Laffer and Pulos caused Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado on the debut record, 9 Music, which found its way to June 2014.
