Dub Specialist

Since Jamaican maker Clement “Coxsone” Dodd was most well-known for his ska, rocksteady, and origins recordings, he considered the Dub Professional pseudonym when he had a need to match Ruler Tubby, Scientist, along with other dub suppliers with mysterious monikers. Dub albums like Better Dub, Mello Dub, and Zodiac Seems appeared around the Studio room One label under this name through the middle-’70s, most with reduced packaging that could change when game titles had been reissued or bootlegged. The Heartbeat label revisited the task of Dub Professional in 1995 using the collection 17 Dub Photos from Studio room One and once again in 2008 using the simply entitled Dub.
