Duane Eubanks

b. 24 January 1969, Philadelphia, Pa, USA. The youngest of three jazz-playing brothers, along with a nephew of Ray Bryant, Duane Eubanks grew up in intensively musical environment. Deciding to understand the trumpet, he quickly started to play efficiently within the post-bop idiom. After learning for a level running a business Administration in the University or college of Maryland, Eubanks enrolled like a jazz main at Temple University or college. During this time period he also received personal lessons from Johnny Coles. Relocating to NY, Eubanks created his personal quartet and in 1997 produced his documenting debut on his sibling Robin Eubanks’ WAKE-YOU-UP CALL. He in addition has performed and documented with music artists including, Antonio Hart, Illinois Jacquet, Oliver Lake, Phyllis Hyman, Donald Byrd, Wayne Moody, as well as the Temptations. Eubanks is definitely interesting when playing ballads, getting a delicately shaded and curved sound. His preference for warm and melodic noises offers led him to compose several attractive tunes, including ‘Lonelyism’, ‘Can’t Wait around ’Til Dawn’ and ‘Clairvoyance’, which show up on his debut recording.
