Oakland natives Drunk Equine feature Elijah Eckert (vocals/acoustic guitar), John Niles (acoustic guitar), Cyrus Comiskey (bass), and Cripe Jergensen (drums), and perform amped-up hard rock and roll boogie comparable to ZZ Best and Thin Lizzy-gone-stoner rock and roll. Agreed upon to the Bay Area-based, today defunct Man’s Mess up label, the group released several singles, a 1999 self-titled record, and 2001’s Tanning Salon/Biblical Proportions prior to the label proceeded to go under. Found by Tee Pee Information, the band came back in 2003 making use of their third record, Adult Situations.
