Drummer

Drummer may be the brainchild of Dark Tips skinsman Patrick Carney, who all envisioned beginning a music group with many of his fellow percussionists in Feb 2009 — but with non-e of them using drums. While his bandmate in the Tips, Dan Auerbach, was on tour, Carney had taken the opportunity to try out with drummers from various other Ohio rings, including Jamie Stillman (of Tooth from the Hydra and Harriet the Spy) on acoustic guitar, Jon Finley (of Party of Helicopters) on guitars and vocals, and Stephen Clements (of Houseguest) on keyboards. Carney required on bass responsibilities, as well as the four moonlighting drummers recruited Greg Boyd, also of Ghostman & Sandman, to carry down Drummer’s rhythms. The quintet documented with engineer Ben Vehom, and their debut recording Feel Good Collectively showed up that fall.
