Drøne is a cooperation between Mark Vehicle Hoen (Locust, Scala, Seefeel) and Mike Harding, who also co-runs both Contact and Ash International. As the name suggests, they build ambient drone music using field recordings, modular synthesizers, and brief influx radios. The duo 1st convened for documenting classes in August and Sept of 2015. Two excerpts had been digitally released by Ash International along with drøne T-shirts. In Apr of 2016, Anna von Hausswolff’s Pomperipossa Information released the duo’s debut full-length Reversing In to the Potential, which contains one haunting, gradually evolving piece entitled “This Strange Existence.” Soon after the album’s launch, they documented a flexi-disc entitled Cold Suggestion for DNA.
