Drive She Said

An American melodic hard rock unit constructed across the talents of previous American Tears, Touch, and Michael Bolton keyboard player Tag Mangold and vocalist/guitarist Al Fritsch, Drive She Said focus on soaring AOR rock with big harmonies and also larger hooks. Founded in 1986, they ultimately inked a cope with CBS Information and released their 1989 eponymous debut long-player, which presented guest looks from Aldo Nova and Bob Kulick (Meats Loaf). The LP didn’t connect to U.S. viewers — the alt-rock/grunge motion was just starting to percolate — but discovered commercial and essential success overseas, producing a Western re-release via the Music for Countries label. Drive She Stated would continue release a two even more albums — Drivin’ Steering wheel and Excelerator — for the label prior to making the proceed to Frontiers Information. TRUE TO LIFE, the band’s initial outing for Frontiers, fell in 2003, accompanied by Pedal towards the Steel in 2016.
