Philadelphia’s DRGN Ruler help to make psychedelic and electronic-inflected pop that pulls on the diverse selection of affects from Shuggie Otis towards the Beatles to Wu-Tang Clan. Originally started as a cooperation between songwriter Dominic Angelella and hip-hop maker Ritz Reynolds, DRGN Ruler had extended to a four-piece by 2010. The next year, the music group shipped the EP Holy Ghost, and a cover of ? & the Mysterians’ 1966 strike “96 Tears.” In 2013, DRGN Ruler released their debut full-length recording, Paragraph Evenings, on Bar non-e. A year later on, the band fallen its second long-player, Baltimore Crush, a music routine about Angelella’s child years in the Elegance Town that was mainly written as the group was touring to get Paragraph Evenings.
