Dreamtime

The improv unit Dreamtime came together throughout a jam session inside a friend’s basement in London, 1982. Nick Evans (trombone), Gary Curson (saxes), and Jim Lebaigue (drums), had been pleased with the organic intensity from the program and shortly added trumpet participant Jim Dvorak and bass participant Roberto Bellatalla to create Dreamtime a quintet. Affinity released their debut, Bunny Up, in 1983 as well as the music group got to touring the U.K. In 1985, pianist Keith Tippett emerged aboard and documented an album using the music group in 1986. The record sat within the can, unreleased, and it wasn’t until 1998 as well as the Zen Seafood record on Slam that record customers got any Dreamtime to collect. In 2004, Hux Information released the dropped- ’86 periods as Cathanger ’86.
