Dream Death

Combining components of both thrash and doom with traditional metallic designs and a hoarse, hardcore vocal design, Pittsburgh, PA’s Wish Loss of life were among the greater unique underground metallic acts from the 1980s. Brian Lawrence (vocals/electric guitar), Terry Weston (electric guitar), and Mike Smail (drums) produced Dream Loss of life in 1984 and quickly recorded their initial demonstration, entitled “Even more Graveyard Delving.” This, along with regular gigging in regional clubs eventually resulted in a cope with second-division thrash experts New Renaissance Information, which released the group’s debut record, Journey Into Secret, in 1987. The record gained many reviews that are positive but small promotional support from New Renaissance, so when Williams defected to regional thrash music group Eviction, the rest of the members of Wish Death produced the music group Penance. Penance released six well-received albums between 1992 and 2005 before contacting it quits, and in 2013 reformed under their previous Dream Loss of life moniker and released their long anticipated sophomore record, Somnium Excessum. Another studio long participant, Dissemination, found its way to 2016 via GO ABOVE Records.
