Dragster

Now mainly remembered for having their 1981 one “Ambitions” included in the Lars Ulrich-curated Fresh Wave of United kingdom ROCK ’79 Revisited compilation, Dragster were an obscure outfit from Western Yorkshire, England, featuring vocalist Derick Pickles (no laughing matter!), guitarist Andy Trafford, bassist Mike Stansfield, and drummer Steve Offer. With a tough ‘n’ tumble audio just like countrymen Fist and Hollow Surface, to mention but several, the band virtually vanished from view soon after that single’s first release by ROCK Records, but nonetheless were able to record plenty of material on the ensuing years to warrant a 2000 Compact disc release by Uk Steel Information entitled THE MOST EFFECTIVE of Dragster.
