Douglas September

Vocalist/songwriter Douglas Sept grew up within an artistic family members on Cape Breton Isle, Nova Scotia. Currently a poet and guitarist at 13, Sept was motivated by books and folk music, merging both in his very own tracks. After graduating from senior high school, he shifted to Toronto and became a fixture in the city’s coffeehouses and celebration circuit. His self-released debut record Crows attracted interest locally and helped Sept earn an area at 1997’s South By Southwest Meeting in Austin, TX. Previous Santana drummer Michael Shrieve occurred to capture the established and finished up creating and playing drums on September’s 1998 record Ten Bulls, which also highlighted the guitar abilities of Costs Frisell. Io implemented a year afterwards.
