Douglas Dare

Vocalist/songwriter Douglas Dare was raised in the tiny coastal city of Bridport in THE WEST England. Urged by his mom, a piano instructor, he started composing music at a age group but didn’t consider up songwriter until 2008 while at College or university in Liverpool. His elegantly moody, piano-based tracks and haunting tone of voice drew evaluations to performers like Thom Yorke and Wayne Blake and finally attracted the interest of London indie Erased Tapes who focus on liberating avant-garde music. After relocating to London, he authorized with Erased Tapes plus they released his 1st EP Seven Hours in Sept 2013. A thorough tour with labelmate and likewise experimental designer Ólafur Arnalds adopted before he came back home to begin with focus on his debut full-length. Collaborating with percussionist and maker Fabian Prynn, Dare crafted the dark, personal ten-song recording Whelm, released in-may 2014.
