The short-lived Dunedin, New Zealand-based noise-pop band the Doublehappys initially comprised singer/guitarist Shayne Carter and bassist Wayne Elsey, both former members from the Bored Games, and a vintage drum machine affectionately dubbed Herbie F*ckface. Invited to become listed on the Soaring Nun label’s 1984 Looney Tour, the duo quickly enlisted drummer John Collie and strike the street; a gig at Auckland’s Windsor Castle was documented and lastly released in 1990 beneath the title JUST HOW MUCH Time Left, Make sure you? The Two times B-Side EP was the Doublehappys’ 1st true release, showing up in past due 1984; another EP, Cut It Out, premiered the following 12 months. However, while time for Auckland for any display, Elsey was wiped out inside a freak teach incident; the group instantly known as it quits, although Carter and Collie afterwards reunited in the wonderful Straitjacket Fits. A Doublehappys compilation entitled Nerves premiered on Traveling Nun in 1992.
