Dotan

Dutch singer/songwriter Dotan Harpenau, aka Dotan, is a folk-influenced pop designer having a soulful yet delicate vocal style. Given birth to in 1986 in Jerusalem to a Dutch mom and Israeli dad, Dotan was raised in Amsterdam, where resided with his mom after his parents’ divorce. Subsequently, he frequently spent his college vacations going to his dad in Israel, where he became fluent in Hebrew. By his teenagers, Dotan had created a like of classic vocalist/songwriters like Vehicle Morrison and Wayne Taylor. He trained himself how exactly to play acoustic guitar, and at age group 18 performed his first display during a college event. While going to college, Dotan gained a full time income playing in cover rings, but ultimately gravitated toward composing his own tunes. On the whim, Dotan made a decision to e-mail some demos to suppliers Martin Terefe and Sacha Skarbek, titles he’d noticed on albums by performers he adored like Adele, Wayne Blunt, and Coldplay. To his shock, the suppliers’ workplace responded, and immediately after Dotan is at London documenting at Terefe’s Kensaltown Studios. Due to the London classes, Dotan authorized to EMI, and this year 2010 released his debut full-length recording, the Expenses Lefler-produced Desire Parade. In 2014 Dotan came back along with his sophomore studio room effort, 7 Levels, including the one “House” and attained gold status.
