Donny Gerrard

Simple soul singer Donny Gerrard started his career as the lead singer from the Vancouver-based pop group Skylark, who documented two albums and had a high Ten hit with “Wildflower” in 1973 (in addition they launched the career of pop producer extraordinaire David Foster). Following the group split up, Gerrard embarked on the solo profession, issuing his debut one “(Baby) DON’T ALLOW It Mess YOUR BRAIN” on Elton John’s Rocket label in 1975. He eventually signed using the Los Angeles-based Greedy label, where he released his self-titled debut record in 1976.
